How Does the 5.51% Interest Work?
- 1.40% fixed rate: Stays the same for the life of the bond
- 4.08% inflation rate: Adjusts every 6 months
- 5.51% combined rate: Applies to your first 6 months, then adjusts based on inflation
For example, a $10,000 investment would earn approximately $275 in interest during the first 6 months.
