Capital One miles can now be transferred to JAL at a 1:0.75 ratio.
JAL has a lot of mileage sweet spots, and this may be an interesting use of miles, as AMEX, Chase, and Citi points don’t transfer to JAL.
If you transfer points to JAL by 10/22 at 11:59pm, you can get 975 JAL miles for every 1,000 Capital One miles transferred there. Points transfer instantly in most cases. Note that if you open a new JAL account, it may take up to 7 days before you can redeem miles after a mileage transfer from Capital One.
It’s worth noting that JAL miles expire 36 months after they are earned, regardless of activity.
Date changes are free and cancellations are just $20.
JAL miles can only be redeemed for these relatives, but you can transfer Capital One miles to any other Capital One cardholder.
