One caveat: we haven't checked that $56.99 against price history, so treat it as the listed regular price, not a confirmed record low. Prices and availability can change, so check the live listing.
If you want a tactical-looking foam sniper for backyard battles or party games without spending much, this is worth a look. Just be realistic about what a budget, accessory-heavy blaster can be.
What You're Getting: Scope, Electric Sniper Styling, and What's Advertised
This is a toy foam blaster styled like an electric sniper rifle. Here is what the listing advertises:
- Toy foam blaster in an electric sniper rifle style
- Advertised as automatic
- Advertised as including a scope
- Sold on Amazon at $39.99 (listed regular price $56.99)
We couldn't verify several specs, so don't assume them. These include battery type, firing range, dart capacity, materials, dimensions, and age rating. Check the Amazon listing for each one.
What Buyers Say: Fun Gameplay, Mixed Reliability
The listing shows about 4.0 out of 5 stars from roughly 97-98 ratings. That's decent for a budget blaster, but the written feedback is uneven.
The good:
- Some reviewers describe it as fun and easy to assemble.
- Buyers like the accessories and the gameplay.
- Some are happy with battery runtime.
The not-so-good:
- Some reviewers report failures within hours or early breakage.
- Some report lights or lasers that don't work. Those reports come from SOFITEN listings in general, and we can't confirm a flashlight or laser comes with this exact listing.
- One reviewer described the blaster as semi-automatic, so the "automatic" claim may not match every unit or listing.
- Battery experiences vary, with some buyers running out of power unexpectedly.
In short, it can be a good time when it works, and quality control seems to be the main risk.
Check Before You Buy: Darts, Magazines, Charger, Vest, and Near-Identical Listings
Similarly named SOFITEN listings vary in bundle contents and specs. Before you click buy, confirm these on the live listing:
- Darts: whether any are included, how many, and whether they're compatible with other dart types. Don't assume standard Nerf compatibility.
- Magazines: whether any are included, and how many.
- Battery and charging: what powers it, and whether a charger or cable is included.
- Accessories: the scope, plus any flashlight, laser, or other add-ons. Make sure they appear on this exact listing.
- Tactical vest: some SOFITEN listings are sold as vest kits, so check whether yours is one.
- Age guidance: read the listed recommendation.
Compare the product title and image carousel with the details further down the page. Near-identical listings can look the same while shipping different bundles.
Other Blaster Types to Know About
This isn't a head-to-head comparison. If this listing doesn't have what you need, these are the other kinds of blasters shoppers commonly look at:
- Nerf motorized blasters: the brand's electric or motorized foam-dart options.
- Other SOFITEN sniper listings: some are sold as vest kits.
- Rechargeable electric blasters: some are sold with dual firing modes and larger dart bundles.
- Manual spring-powered blasters: these need no batteries, which means fewer power concerns.
Beyond what's listed above, we make no claims about quality relative to any other brand or type.
Who This Is For (Backyard Battles, Parties, Group Games, Gifting)
This blaster makes the most sense if you're after:
- Backyard or indoor target practice with a sniper-style look
- Group games where kids, teens, or adults split into teams
- Birthday, holiday, or novelty gifts, as long as you've verified the package contents and age guidance
- Pretend-play scenarios built around the scope and tactical styling
If you need guaranteed durability, this may not be the right pick. If you're comfortable with some risk for a lower price, it's a reasonable gamble.
Safety and Age Guidance
We haven't verified an age rating or any safety certifications for this product, so read the listed age guidance on Amazon.
- Supervise children during play.
- Never aim foam projectiles at faces, animals, or nearby people.
- Play where there's enough space, and agree on ground rules before the game starts.
Bottom Line: Is It a Good Deal?
At $39.99 against a listed $56.99, this is a fairly priced way to get a scoped, electric-style foam sniper for backyard games. It carries a roughly 4.0/5 rating from about 97 ratings, and buyers report plenty of fun. Reports of early failures, inconsistent features, and variable battery life mean it isn't a guaranteed hit.
It's a good deal if you check the listing and can tolerate some quality-control risk. A scoped, electric foam sniper for under $40: just confirm what's in the box. Check the current Amazon listing for the $39.99 price, the darts, magazines, charger, accessories, and age guidance before you buy.
